Reset Finance is a trauma‑informed financial wellbeing service created to support people impacted by gambling harm. Our mission is to provide safe, judgement‑free pathways that help individuals regain control, rebuild stability, and move toward a healthier financial future.
We combine lived experience, harm‑reduction principles, and practical financial support to meet people where they are, without pressure, shame, or stigma. Every person’s journey is different, and our role is to walk alongside them with compassion, clarity, and respect.
Our work includes financial safety planning, budgeting support, bank coordination, advocacy, and integrated pathways through The Reset Crew, a broader harm‑reduction ecosystem designed to connect people with safe, supportive services.
We are also developing an innovative harm‑reduction, financial control prototype, aimed at blocking gambling and high‑risk transactions at the point of sale. Although still in its early testing phase, the prototype shows the kind of protective financial technology we aim to make accessible in the future.
Reset Finance is led by Founder Andrew Scotson, whose lived experience and commitment to trauma‑informed practice shape the heart of our approach. Andrew also serves as the Founder & Executive Director of the Global Gambling Harm Reduction Alliance, a global network of researchers, clinicians, technologists, and lived‑experience leaders working together to reduce gambling harm worldwide.
Our purpose is simple: to create safer financial futures for people and families affected by gambling harm, and to ensure no one has to navigate that journey alone.
